EndFed 20 MeterHF Ham Matchbox Antenna
This sale is for anassembled 20 meteramateurradio HF, end fed wire antenna, with an impedancematching toroid and capacitor built into a1.5” x 2” x 3” ABS box with twosurface mounting flanges. Weather resistant enclosurehas a screw-on backto facilitate easy access.
The matchbox circuit matches the high input impedance of an end fed antennawith the typical transceiver impedance of 50 ohms, with no antenna tunerrequired. The matchbox handles 100 watts of power.
The sale includesthe matchbox anda 30.5 foot insulated stranded 18 AWG wire antenna which connects to the wing nut via a ring lug. A 50 ohm coax feedline (not included) of 15 to 30 feetshould be used to connect the transceiver to the antenna.
The supplied antenna has been pre-cut to the 20 meter band.Initial \"out of the box\"SWRwill likely be less than 2:1 across theband, with little or no trimmingneeded, depending on coax type and length, and height above ground.
Antenna can be used with an antenna tuner if desired, which eliminatesall manual length trimming, as tuner will match the SWR.
The end fed antennasystem works well in horizontal, sloper, and verticalconfigurations.

I amastounded by how good this antenna is and with notuner! 20 meters has always been a magicband, but this little antenna really makes it jump. Fits in my pocket for hiking, and I can putit up anywhere. A tennis ball at the end of the wire lets me hang it up on anytree branch! March 2013
