A Dragon Flash Suit from Gavin Hood’s 2012 sci-fi adaptation, Ender’s Game. In the film, Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield) is recruited to lead the International Fleet against the alien race known as Formics. Flash Suits were used during the film’s Battle Room training sequences. Features of the suit, such as the neck piece and shoulder pads, were designed to be modular, allowing a suit’s color accents to be changed depending on what army was being portrayed. The items of this lot are components of various background actors’ Flash Suits.
This full Flash Suit costume consists of a jacket (size extra large), pants (size extra large), gloves (size small), boots (US size 13), orange flash suit pads, and Dragon helmet (size large). The jacket is made of synthetic nylon material with a concealed zipper up the center of the chest. The pants are made from the same material as the jacket and feature a bib style mesh top with black collar that is worn under the jacket. A small magnet on the right leg can be used to hold a Flash Gun. The pants also feature concealed clips which correspond to clips on the jacket. This suit comes with a set of orange rubber pads to represent the Dragon Army.
The gloves are made from matching nylon. The boots are constructed from a pair of Rhino shoes with added synthetic nylon material. The Dragon helmet is made of resin with a clear acrylic visor. The helmet separates into three different pieces; cap, visor, and jaw. The piece features a hidden switch and battery compartment to operate an internal fan, which remains untested.
