Extremely rare and hard to find King George IISterling Silverwater/beer Jug made in London, England in 1745.
The marks on the base are; The Crowned Lion for London.The Lion Passant for Sterling silver. The date Letter \'k\' for 1745 and the makers mark which is a Star M, Jacob Marsh of St Swithin\'s Lane, London ( information kindly supplied by member ),the marks are clear however do show some rubbing.
Monograme \"A L C\", weight 400 grams, height 5\", width from handle to spout 6 1/4\".
Elegant Georgian baluster shape body with scroll handle on a plinth base, elaborate bright cut monograme \'ALC\'. We would describe the condition as excellent, there are mild surface marks but no damage and a quality piece of considerable age (269 YEARS OLD) and lasting value.
