My mother and I started collecting baby dolls in 1999. When reborned baby dolls became popular, we saleed cloth bodies that my mother sewed for full limbed reborns. We also saleed baby dolls, both unaltered and moderately reborned.

My interest in doll collecting declined in 2005, but my mother’s interest in creating reborn baby dolls flourished. My mother amassed a large collection of reborns she made herself as well as a few she purchased from reborn artists. Though her passion was reborned baby dolls, she also had a smaller collection of manufactured collectible baby dolls.

After my mother’s passing in 2014, I set aside a few of her dolls as keepsakes for myself and family. Over the next months, I will be listing the remaining baby dolls from my mother’s collection. I hope to list dolls weekly. Please see my current sales for more dolls and continue to follow as I add more doll listings.

Coloring

• Light, Caucasian / Hispanic.
• Painted with Genesis Heat set paints and permanent markers.
• Has mottling and veining to mimic the appearance of a baby’s skin.

Body

• Head and limbs made from vinyl.
• Arms are 3/4 length. Legs are 3/4 length.
• Jointed cloth body. Head connected with plastic cable tie. Limbs connected with plastic cable ties.
• Filled with polyfill and plastic pellets for weighting.
• Length: 21 inches.
• Weight: 2 pounds, 15.9 ounces.
• Wears size newborn and 0-3 months baby clothing.
• May fit certain size 0 baby shoes, but feet are smaller than standard 0.
• Size and proportions of a real baby. See tape measure and tennis ball comparison photo above.

Hair

• Color: Brown.
• Material: Unsure, but feels like mohair. Can be styled with water.
• Installation: Hand rooted with about 4 to 10 hairs per plug. Unsure if the rooted hair has been glued down on the inside of the head. Unsure of the type of glue used if applicable.

Eyes

• Color: Brown. Note: Eyes have been secured, however, they do not meet the vinyl eyelids. The eyes may have been slightly too large for this sculpt.
• Material: Unsure, but likely plastic.
• Lashes: Synthetic lashes glued to the upper eyelid.
• Brows: Lightly painted.

Clothing

• Will arrive dressed as a girl in a Carter\'s short romper and Gerber t-shirt.
• Doll will arrive wearing a diaper and clothing photographed only. Props used in photographs are not included.

Other

• Floppy head.
• Cannot take a pacifier.

Environment

Doll was displayed on a white laminate bookshelf in a smoke and pet free adult home. As such, the doll is in good condition.

Fragrance Note: Doll was originally stored in a bedroom in my mother’s home. The clothing closets in this bedroom contained moth balls. Doll has been kept in my moth ball free home for several weeks. The doll did not smell like moth balls to me, but I have stored it with a Snuggle Blue Sparkle fabric softener sheet for 8 hours for good measure. The doll has a faint Snuggle scent, but that scent should lessen over time.

Photography

I did my best to capture the coloring and hair of the doll. Doll photos taken under bright fluorescent lights in order to minimize shadows and avoid the use of the harsh camera flash. Photos have been sharpened after resizing, but no filters or alterations have been applied.

I ship to all states within the United States of America. I ship to a very limited list of international countries. International shipments will be handled by ’s Global Shipping Program. Please research this program prior to offerding.

Package will ship via insured and tracked priority mail. Please use the shipping calculator in this sale to determine the exact shipping costs to your location.

Doll will be wrapped in fabric to protect from rubbing against the shipping box. Doll will be surrounded by stuffing material for added protection. Package will be marked as fragile.
