This flight helmet is model PK-7 of the former Yugoslavian Air Force, the license version of the P-3 helmet in US Air Force service in the 1950s to which it is almost identical. It has the very early visor set up of the P-3 with a tab at the upper edge of the visor to pull it down and side latch. The pristine inside suspension is almost identical to the US version, except for type of leather and strings used. The chamois ear pads are identical to the US ones. The Oxygen mask attachment tabs also use different, somewhat thinner leather tabs than the P-3. The communications pigtail has a plug U-75/U as has the P-3. The visor is without any scratches. A label on the suspension indicates a repair/service on the helmet was performed on 5/20/1980 at the indicated facility. The helmet has the Yugoslavian Air Force insignia on front of the helmet, without it one would be hard pressed not to mistake it for a US Air Force P-3. The oxygen mask included in this sale is a regular US Sierra MS22001 mask, small, mfg 72/73/74. It even says US Property on its side. The mask has the problem most rubber MS22001 have - separation of the hose elements, deterioration of the rubber loops which hold the upper mask straps an plastic nose bridge which is broken. The mask does not have a mike.
