Framed watercolor Indian painting by well known artist Sam English. The figure reminds me of an Apache gan or crown dancer. The painting is under regular glass with a double mat that compliments the image. My research revealed that Sam English was born in 1942, a Native American from the Anishinabe Ojibwe Midwestern tribe. There are several business cards and stickers on the papered back. I believe that this painting was originally sold at the Native American Art Gallery in Old Town Albuquerque, New Mexico. I do not believe that the gallery is there now. The cards identify Sam English as being from the Chippewa tribe. There is also a framing sticker showing that it was framed in 1992. Painting has a simple black frame and is signed Lower Right. I believe that Sam is an accomplished artist, making this painting a collector’s item.

Overall, very good quality and condition. Ready to hang on the wall.
