Offered for your offers is an unusual Franz Josef 1898 Jubilee Medal by the renowned engraver to the Royal House, R. Marschall. The medal measures 1 1/8\" (29mm) in diameter. On the front is a beautifully engraved bust of Franz Josef surrounded by the inscription, \"1848 FRANCISCUS. JOS. 1. IMP. ET. REX. 1898\". The reverse side pictures the emperor passing by in a coach being cheered on by a crowd shouting, \"Vivat Imperator\".The ribbon appears to be an original. A very unusual medal that does not appear on e-bay too often.
