the adapter mentioned in the title of the listing is a RCA to BNC adapter, is not a wall wart, pwr. supply.
Hi, this is a bench counter, a \" must have \" for any budding \" Tech\", If you want to monitor your transmitFrequency, just a small 1 foot wire ( or less) connected to the RCA input jack will pick up your transmit signal and you will see it on the readout, this is a sensitive instrument , if you want to check the test points in your radio, you will have an R.F. probe, It\'s included. This is not a beta test , I have built hundreds of similar items and sent them out, with no complaints, this is a Kit, all components are Hole through, ( no surface mount,), the part values are on the board (silk layer) easy to read, all Integrated circuits ( 2) are socket mounted, the calibration is adjustable, with a slotted screw ceramic trimmer, If you dont like blue readouts then I have red, white is more expensive.
The lens fits into the groove built into the front of the cabinet, no glue.
The Rf probe has a 3\' cable, and BNC connector , and adapter is included ( RCA to BNC ) for use measuring internal freqs. of your radio, has a two position switch X1 or X10 attenuator selectable on probe.

If you dont have a temperature regulated soldering pencil with a fine point tip, then forget it, their are some tight soldering points, these are single sided P.C. boards (3) they have no solder mask, not tinned, bare primitive copper, make sure your solder pencil will make it up to 750 degrees, this is not a flow solder Item, so the heat must be up !! You must shine up before soldering, and if possible don\'t touch the copper, then, after you have the counter working, spray the circuit side with clear spray, I recommend Krylon clear spray. cover the pins on the display board before spraying, this will keep the tracts bright and still solderable.
The read out is .56\" high, quite bright, Looks good.
It has two inputs, an RCA jack, and a 4 pin dedicated input with all power and R.F. input connections, and a power jack for 8 to 14 volts if Aux is not used.
If you have an R.F signal generator, then you can put in your own Offset, and it has built in 455 kc or 10.7 mc. selectable Via tactile switch, all Info is included now.
