Up for sale is a G. L. Petzel & Bro. New York - Albert System - B-flat Clarinet. Each of the 4 pieces are stamped: G. L. Petzel & Bro. New York. From what little I have found on the internet, this clarinet probably dates between 1890-1910, a time when Petzel had begun manufacturing in New York, but before the formation of the Petzel-Mueller company. I have seen these, when restored, going for $200 - $400. My understanding is that this particular vintage brand / model is rare to find today. All of the keys and parts appear to be intact. Please see photos to determine this.This is a real Grenadilla wood clarinet. See the photos. There is a crack in the bell, which is contained by the bell ring. It looks like someone put in pads on this clarinet - maybe 30 years ago. Pads look okay. Please use the photos to evaluate the condition. There is no mouthpiece offered with this unit. Cork on the fittings appears good. This unit could possibly be used for restoration or for use as parts when restoring another of this same model and vintage. There is no case. The clarinet will be disassembled for shipment and the 4 clarinet pieces will be individually wrapped in sheet foam and carefully packed. Thanks for looking!
