Geo N. Pierce & Co. Antique Oak Ice Box with original hardware and all linings. (The lower handle has been \"repaired\" with the insertion of an old nail.) This is a one of a kind curiosity and we\'ve never seen one in better condition.About the Maker:George N. Pierce (1846-1911) formed a company in 1873 with two partners known as Heinz, Pierce and Munshauer for the manufacture of bird cages, ice boxes and bathtubs. After the original company disbanded, he went on to make ice boxes, bicycles and ultimately the famous Pierce Arrow Automobiles.
