Here for sale is the prototype that Max Girouard made of his Doug Irwin- inspired, Jerry Garcia model archtop F-5 mandolin.

Max reports that he\'s only made about 7 or so of these, and this is the first one: Sitka spruce top, Red Maple back and sides, long neck, elevated and slightly radiused board, one-piece back, and apparently, is the only one made with this full range of options and specs: f-holes, bound everywhere (top, sides, back, board, peghead, back of peghead veneer, tree of life board inlay).

This instrument is in excellent shape, no dings, scratches, marks, scuffs, damage or repairs. Has really not ever left my non-smoking home.

This model goes for north of $7200 new from Max and Lauri.
