This is an original GM intake manifold for Big Block Chevy engines with oval port heads. The casting number is 3883948. The 3883948 intake was used by GM on all 1966 through 1968 Big Block Chevy engines with a Rochester Quadrajet carburetor. This intake has a casting date of I 28 5. This decodes as September 28th, 1965. This is a very hard to find early 3883948 intake.
This intake is in very good original condition as shown. There are no breaks, modifications, or repairs. There is also no corrosion or porting. All threads are in good condition with no thread inserts or helicoils. All casting marks are in good condition and easy to see. They simply don\'t get nicer than this.
