This is a beautiful aged Cherry D-30\" Jensen spinning wheel, made by Jerry Jensen of Wisconsin. It comes with 3 bobbins but I have purchased 5 extra that will be included (total of 8). The spinning wheel cloth cover was made by my mom to keep it protected.This Jensen spins like a dream and can produce mass amounts of hand spun fiber flawlessly. It has 3 whorls and I have purchased 1 extra to include. Parts and bobbins are still available for this wheel. I will add the dimensions below. This wheel is unique in that the Jensen\'s remember making this wheel, as the table is made from a burl unlike any others. It includes the original distaff. It is a beautiful piece of artwork for your spinning pleasure and also a beautiful piece of furniture for your home. I am just not spinning much anymore so someone else should enjoy its beauty. It is a silent wheel, there are no warps or squeaks or anything not working. It has been protected away from smoke, animals and children and is in wonderful condition. The wheel currently has a couple of silver spider charms on it that are easily removable if desired. Spiders are the spinner\'s logo, as we are both said to \"spin a web\".Double treadle with Scotch tension or double drive.Once paypal payment has been received, this can be picked up in Tumwater, Washington - evenings and weekends.
RATIOS FOR THE D-30 (Ratios are approximate -whorls are handturned) Standard Ratios are 10:1, 12:1, 13.3:1, 15:1, 17:1. *Jensen ratios are determined by dividing the diameter of the whorl into wheel diameter. This method is described in Paula Simmon\'s\"Spinning and Weaving with Wool\" EVERY Jensen item is entirely made by Mr. Jensen.
