GREEN LANTERN #117 PG 18 1979 ORIGINAL PAINTED COMIC PRODUCTION ART-TAKING OATH:
$129.99

This sale is for a one-of-a-kind original hand-painted comic production art page fromDC ComicsGREEN LANTERNISSUE117 PAGE4 BY JOE STATON-PENCILS & DAVE HUNT-INKS. What a great iconic page of Hal taking the Green Lantern oath to recharge his ring, plus seeing him contemplating another GL\'s trip to oblivion when his battery exploded--! This pageis approximately the same size as a normal comic book, andwasused in the actual production of the1979 book,hand-signed by the colorist Anthony Tollin(even though my resource say Adrienne Roy was the colorist, but she was married to Anthony, so no matter what, it was all in the family). It wascoloredon a shrunkdown6 1/4\" by 10\" paper copy of the original drawn and inked 11 x 17\" artwork(which you do not get, someone else owns that!).This color guide has its notes on the page.It featuresHal Jordan as Green Lantern in \"Sight--of the First and Second Kinds\". Almost all comics are computer colored now and have been for a good decade or so, so these hand-colored covers & pages areno longer produced, so theseolder ones are getting more collectible than ever. Talk about rare, besides these pages being one of a kind, finding any from the \'70\'s is near impossible! Priority insured mail will run $12.00 to anywhere in the U.S. Canadian airmail will cost $30.00. and worldwide will run $50.00. Huge discount on S&H for any additional pages!

After a few comments from buyers, I just have to tell you that the scans do not do the colors justice. They are brighter and bolder that what you see here in the ad. So if you like what you see here, you will bevery pleasedwhen you receive your pages!
