H.H. SCOTT 222C STEREO INTEGRATED TUBE AMP - RESTORED - MAPLESHADE - MINT - RARE:
You are offerding on a fully modded H.H. Scott 222C integrated stereo tube amplifier that was restored by by
Foster "Scott Fixer" Blair last year. This Scott 222C
has the same series of "Supermods" that Mr Blair currently performs on the Mapleshade 222C, which includes 6FQ7 driver tubes that replaces the old 7199 drivers, updated output bias rectifier, updated phono stage, new power supply electrolytic caps, audio path control bypass for improved sound, precision stepped volume control, professionally clear coated front panel for added protection on the control lettering and artwork, original H.H. Scott control knobs, tube shields, brown plastic feet and power cord. I am also including a photocopy of the original H.H. Scott 222C users manuals for your reference. For
more information or to
learn about some of the finer details see mapleshadestore.comThe unit will ship with New Old Stock GE tubes, four 12AX7preamp, two 6FQ7 driver, four 6BQ5 output and one 5AR4 rectifier. Aesthetically, this 222C is in mint condition with very little surface wear. The faceplate is perfect with no bends and all lettering and artwork in intact as are the brass ring inserts on all knobs. The faceplate has a few tiny scratches on the upper edge that were there before it was professionally clear coated. Other than that, the surface is smooth and has a glass like appearance that gives it a luxurious appearance like the vintage McIntosh gear. There were some minor surface scratches on the transformer that have been touched up, but
otherwise the deck is clear with no rust and no pitting. This amp is somewhat heavy due to the massive power and output transformers used for this size amp. So, shipping charges will be a little higher than normal for the additional packaging that will be needed for a damage free trip to the lucky winner of this amp!
The below is an excerpt taken
