For your consideration is this estate found large collection of vintage fly fishing lures, somestill in the original packaging.This interesting collection includes the following:
8 Skilton's Salmon Flies, T.S. Skilton & Sons, Winsted, Conn. In original thin plastic (celluloid?) round container & info card. Flies are in excellent condition.
20 piece box Skilton's Fishing Tackle Flies of Extrong Quality in original box & infocard. Flies seem good. Cardboard box has a clear plastic window which is separating from the cardboard on two sides.
10 Verne Sheldon Perfect Streamer Flies all unused in original unopened packages (6 Muddler, 3 Special, & 1 Marabou). The cardboard also states: "Tied in the Heart of the Pennsylvania Trout Country by Experieced Fly Tyers". In good condition with some bending of the cardboard and darkened plastic covering.
1 True Life Fly Co. Streamers Weighted Pat. Erakine unused and unopened in the original package. Plastic over card is darkened.Looks like thetail may be separated from the body. I do not want to open the package to find out.
4plastic compartment boxes (3 Celluloid?)filled withassorted sized bugs & flies. Most appear to be in good condition. Some may not have been used. Some have some missing feathers I suppose from age/use deterioration.
1 wooden cigar box filled with 25 assorted flies. There are some loose hairs in the box that I presume are from the flies.
1 long unopened package of 3JC HigginsSnelled Wet Trout Flies "Queen of the Waters". No 3406. This brand was sold only by Sears Roebuck and Co. as stated on the package. Flies are unused. Hard plastic on package has some soils & clouding.
2packages (one has two, the other has 3 flies) of JC Higgins Wet Trout Flies English Pattern No. 3406. This brand was sold onlyby Sears Roebuck and Co. as stated on the still stapled but there is a slit opening on one side.
2 packages of unkown flies.Packages are opened. One has5 flies, the other has 6
l leather folder with 11 assortedflies. The inside coverhas the words "The Bray" Patented. The leather holder isin poor condition with rips, missing leather, and a musty smell. The flies appear to be in good condition.
1 Noll No. 50 Fly Tying KitwithI believe full content in original box by H.J. Noll, Inc. Plumsteadville, PA. Content is sealed in plastic. Box is strong & solid but has some soiling & wear. A$1.00 price plus covered over writing is on the front in black marker possibly from a tag sale.
