The term rare is used often in items. In this case it fits. I don’t think many of these units have been listed. This is a Heath (Heathkit) GCW-1001-1 Most Accurate Clock II Remote. The remote clock receives its time signals from a GCW-1001 Master Clock via the AC power lines in your home. If a master clock is not available, you can manually set the time in the remote clock. The clock is in excellent condition. The cable from the power cube has been professionally repaired and works normally. A mint condition manual is included. It contains all instructions for both the master and remote clocks.
