Singer Model# 66-16 In Very Nice Condition INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH Singer Model 66 Straight Stitch (with reverse feed) sewing machine, serial number AH873309 born November 26th, 1948 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. The Model 66 is one of the best machines ever made by Singer as shown by it\'s longevity and buyer demand. Deck and body show very well with much less than average wear and tear for a 66 year old machine (some normal chips and scratches here and there from use and handling, that\'s it!), and really lives up to the model 66\'s legendary sewing reputation. This is one you don\'t want to let get away. I purchased this machine from the daughter of it\'s original owner, who told me her mother always had it serviced every year from when she bought it until 2009, and it shows. Runs smooth and penetrates dense material with ease, and look at the beautiful stitches it sews. Machine has been cleaned and lightly oiled with Authentic Singer Machine Lube and has had the timing and tolerances checked and is perfect. 6-30 stitches per inch with reverse. Steel Class 66 Drop In Bobbins. Unlike now days when companies build things to work good but die early so you buy more of their product, Singer built these 66\'s to last for at least 100 years. That\'s the kind of company Singer was, and if you give this machine basic care and cleaning, it could very well last 200. This is the one you could hand down to your grandchildren someday with pride. Newer cords and great condition original Singer variable speed foot controller. So, with just normal oiling and care, this machine is set to work hard for you for decades to come. I am including a digital copy of the Singer Model 66 owners manual on CDrom in .pdf format. This will guide you through the process of threading the upper needle thread as well as filling the bobbin and selecting the right needle and tension settings for the job at hand. It really makes sewing like a pro easy. Most importantly, it will show you exactly how to lube, disassemble, reassemble, and maintain your machine so that it will last another 66 years.
