** I would like to start off by saying that this is an “ABSOLUTE” NO-RESERVE sale!! This baler will belong to the highest buyer at the end of the 10 day listing… period! No minimum starting price, no week after week relisting, and no second chance offers! For that reason, if you are honestly interested, please offer to buy! We never offer items up with a second account like so many people do (and we will without-a-doubt not do that for this sale… we never have and never will… so please know you are always offerding against only other truly interested parties). Also, PLEASE understand that we are selling this baler outright. The highest buyer will be the new owner at the end of the sale and I very politely ask that if you know that you won’t be able to come up with the funds, or if you are not truly prepared to take ownership of this unit, that you don’t offer. I hate to even have to say that, but we have had an issue in the past and for our own protection, just want to make sure that everyone is on the same page. Lastly, we will try our level best to do a good job representing this machine in our description and through our pictures, but must stress we are full time farmers, not equipment jockeys or traders!.. For that reason, we ask that if you are uncomfortable with “sight unseen” purchases and live close, are truly interested, and would like, that you come inspect this baler in person at its current location at the owner’s farm in Bois D’Arc, MO BEFORE the end of the sale. That aside, I thank everyone for their interest in advance and wish all happy offerding!
With that said, You are looking at a nice “straight off the farm” 4550 Hesston “in-line” small square baler. It has a 14 X 18 inch bale chamber, adjustable bale length, spring bale tension with dual manual crank adjustment, a 92 stroke per minute plunger, a 61 inch pickup with 66 tines on three tine bars, two twine boxes (one on each side) with four ball capacity, 7 sealed ball bearing plunger rollers, and 9.5L X 14 low profile rib implement flotation tires. From what I have been able to figure out, Agco still produces this exact baler under the now Hesston division of Massey Ferguson. Here is a link to the online brochure on the Agco website where more information about these In-Line Small Square Balers, including the 4550, can be found:
The baler never gave us any problems and always performed great! It always built a nice square shouldered bale and has continued to perform like a new machine. The only reason that the current owner decided to sell it is that his operation has changed significantly in the last couple years, and it once again turned into a situation where the baler was sitting in the barn not being used… and the simple truth is that the capital could be used for more pressing things on both of our operations. That’s the only reason the baler is up for sale, and that’s why it will sell to the highest buyer!
The pictures that I was able to get aren’t of the best quality and I apologize for that, but they are current. With that said, a couple things that are worth mentioning that may not be real visually evident are the facts that the standard factory “strings-up” bale discharge chute has been modified to operate as a “quarter-turn” chute for use with most (New Holland) bale wagons, and that it has new implement rib tires which were installed last year. With that mentioned I once again thank everyone in advance for their interest and if anyone has any additional questions, please message me with your name and contact number and I will either try to answer the question to the best of my ability, or have the current owner get in touch with you at his earliest convenience.
For the convenience of those who are interested, I have scheduled this sale to have a specified start time, and thus it will end at approximately 9:00p.m central (daylight) time on Thursday October 27th, 2011. As previously stated, the baler is available for visual inspection at its current location at the owners farm in Bois D’Arc, Mo (65612) and I would encourage anyone that is within driving distance and would like to come out and “look it over” to do so. For our protection, I must say that the baler sells “As Is Where Is” with no warranty expressed or implied. Shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser, however we have the means and would be happy to discuss options for getting it where you need it for a very fair rate. I know this shouldn’t need to be said, but you are offerding on thebaler only. The tractor and/or anything else besides the described item that can be seen in the pictures are not included in the sale. Full payment is due within 7-days of the end of the sale, unless other arrangements are previously made. For those interested, the baler can remain at its current location at the owner’s farm as long as the purchaser needs it to, just as long as it is paid for within the above described time frame.
Once again I would like to stress that this is a sale! No matter what, this baler will sell… so please offer with honest intentions. Thank you very much for looking and have a nice day!..
