This 1928 baby doll belonged to my mother but my girls are not interested in having her. She really needs to go to a good home, be restored and loved by someone, like my mother loved her. Honey Baby is 24\" long and the pictures tell the story of her condition. One arm is almost off and was in fact resewn on by my mother after an unfortunate accident with her little brother. :). The crocheted cap may be original, it has always been on Honey\'s head under the pink bonnet with matching booties, that my mother made for her baby. Her face still looks good, not sure if those red lips were touched up by Mom. Her tin hazel colored sleep eyes work great although she is missing a few of her lashes.
She has a composition flange head, marked Acme and cloth body and upper legs. You can see two little teeth in her mouth. She has a mama cry box seen through her cloth body, but it makes no sound. She has all her toes and fingers but the surface, as you can see, is deteriorating.I hate to part with her, but it is making me more sad to see her in this condition. So I thought Mother\'s Day would be a good time to say goodbye.
I will send along all the clothes you see, the white eyelet dress is modern. She is a cutie so I hope you will adopt her, fix her up (even if for another \"mom\") and she will be loved anew.Thanks for listening and looking.
