Icom Ham Amateur radio HF 6 meter transceiver IC 756 pro:
$777.00

You are looking at the central rig of a silent key ham radio operator who used this radio frequently.I am not the owner of this rig, I am selling it for his widow. The radio has been cleaned externally and tested into a power measuring dummy load, see photo. The previous owner was a smoker and this radio has some cigarette smoke residue inside the display. It is still quite bright and readable, but not as clear as it could be. If you are technically inclined, you could disassemble the case and controls and remove the face plate and clean the display and internal components.
The Icom 756 Pro is an HF + 6 Meter transceiver with the following features:
  • Voice Keyer
  • 101 Memories
  • RIT/XIT
  • Noise Blanker
  • Multiple Display Formats
  • Realtime Spectrum Display
  • Twin Digital PBT
  • Voice Recorder
  • 100 Watt Output
  • Built-in Auto Antenna Tuner
  • TCXO Built In
  • 100% Duty Cycle
  • Built in RTTY Demod
  • DSP Notch
  • 1 Hz Readout
  • Memory Keyer
  • RF Attenuator 6/12/18 dB
  • Automatic Notch

The radio comes with the hand mic shown in the picture. The Palstar dummy load in the picture is not for sale at this time, it is shown to verify the output power during the tests I performed.
The Palstar meter is showing about 80 watts output. It is not a calibrated meter, so is the meter off, or is the output power down a tad, I don\'t know. I don\'t have a calibrated meter to say one way or the other.
It lights up, it changes frequency and changes bands. It receives, it transmits.I have not explored the DSP, or RTTY or many of the other features that would have taken me hours to figure out how to use.
If you are in the Pittsburgh PA area, and are seriously interested in seeing and testing this rig, contact me and we can arrange a test drive.
The transceiver ships to Continental USA only, no international shipping.Rig can also be picked up in the Pittsburgh PA area and can save the shipping cost. Contact me before making payment if you are interested in local pickup.
