This fantastic INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH Kenmore 15 Class straight stitch (with reverse) sewing machine is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS and it was MANUFACTURED IN THE JAPAN. It\'s a model 148.273, the serial number is 15010, and the original 1.2 AMP MOTOR was MANUFACTURED IN THE U.S.A. The paint and the chrome are in beautiful condition.It has an ALL METAL body and THIS BABY WILL SEW & SEW & SEW !!! You can see the samples I sewed on ~ which is: 2 layers of 9 OUNCE COWHIDE LEATHER (appx. 5/16\" thick\"), 8 layers of VINYL, 2 layers of SOFT LEATHER, 6 layers of NAUGAHYDE, and I took some white cording and sewed naugahyde around it, (to make the piping) and then I sewed thru all 4 layers of NAUGAHYDE using the teflon upholstery/piping foot to to sew upholstery.
