I went to see Margaret Dick in Lochgelly (lovely lady ) , John j Dicks's daughter to have the tawse Authenticated .
A letter of AUTHENTICATION by Margaret Dick now comes with the tawse .The tawse is old and done before metric i'ts length approx 23 1/2 inches, Margaret believes this is an older one due to this and the handle .although can only date it between 1958 - 1975. The tawse was marked with tappit and hammer not machine stamped .
