Boy\'s Day Ningyo - appears to be a boy and is portraying Minamoto no Yoshi’ie, a Samurai
on horse back and in full armor with orange lacing, bow, arrows, quiver and sword.
It\'s a spectacular piece and entailed a considerable amount of detail work.
The horse\'s hair is incredible and appears to be a fine fibrous paper resulting in a realistic hair.

Condition - old, over all very good, missing base, each hoof has a small bit of
post that were originally inserted in a stand. Since the horse stands on only three
of his legs, it\'s a little top heavy, it will stand on it\'s own as you can see by the photos,
but may fall over with movement. Horses hooves are missing some of the thick paint,
same goes for his right nostril. The tail still has original paper wrapper to keep it in place.
Some of the roping is out of original position. We made repairs to one of the stirrups,
re-glued one saddle tassel, cleanup the quivers. The armor
attachments for the shoulders are missing a couple of rings for attachment, although they may
attach in the rings closer to the warriors chest. Warrior\'s hair is a little messed. Helmet crest has a couple of
bends on one side, some light rust to areas on armor.
Quiver is made of paper and there is a small tear on the back area that rests against the rider. Please examine the photos and ask questions should you have any.
