Yoshitada`s real name is Kinoshita Koichi, was born in 1897 in Saga prefecture, made swords during WWll time and after the war as a Gendai smith, listed in John Slough\'s book page 201. The blade is traditional hand forged, inoldpolish, shows fine scratches, light stains but no rust and ingoodcondition. The temper line is chu-suguba with ko-nie active temper pattern and has deeptemper at the point. There is no bend, no crack and cutting edge issharp. The scabbardis metalscabbard, no dent, no bend, no lacquer loss andin good condition. Thehandle is tight fit, tsuka-ito wrappingisno cut, no loosealso ingood condition. Tsuba and seppas are no number stamped. Lock mechanism works fine. It measures 26+3/4\" tip to the guard, 25+7/8\" cutting edge,1+1/4\" width,6.5 mmthickness at the notch and38+3/4\" inmountings.
