This is a Japanese WWll Army pilot or tank crew\'s sword in mountings. The blade is unsigned, shinogi-zukuri shape,Edoperiod ca.1750 era made old family blade. The blade is in old polish, shows light staines butno rust and ingoodcondition. There is no nick, no crack temper and cutting edge issharp. The temper line is wavydoranwithyakidashi temper throughout the blade and haso-maru temper at the point. Forging grain is itame-hada, noforging flaws. The scabbard is leather coveredwood scabbard, no crack, nobendand in good condition.The handle is tight fit, tsuka-ito wrapping is cord wrapping only,no cut, no loose and in good condition.Tsuba is marugatasilver, copper inlayiron tsuba with nice patina.
