Krag Jorgenson Bayonet Scabbard Model 1903 in excellent condition. There is a small bit of what looks like pitting under the paint on the back just under the hanger.This scabbard was for the full length Model 1896 cadet model bayonet that was employed when the Corps of Cadets exceeded the supply of short blades. This information is on page 218 of Janzen\'s Notebook. When I acquired this scabbard it was holding the cadet bayonet that is listed separately. I am told that the reason that they were painted gloss black was that they then matched the black stripe on the cadet\'s trousers.
