LANG & WISE BRUTON PARISH CHURCH
COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG BUILDING

Up for sale is a collectible porcelain building made by Lang and Wise. This particular building is the Bruton Parish Church (item #28489701), part of a series of houses and buildings created for sale in the shops of Old Williamsburg called "Town Home Collectibles". It has a copyright date of 1998. Production of this item has long been discontinued and it's availability is currently limited to the secondary market. As the name implies, this porcelain building is a faithful reproduction of the Bruton Parish Church in historic Williamsburg. It measures about 10 1/8" long, 5 3/8" wide, and 7 3/4" tall (to top of steeple). It was not made to light up, so there is no cord or bulb. The church comes in its original box and internal styrofoam packaging.
If you're not already familiar with the Bruton Parish Church, it was established in 1674 (present structure built in 1715) and remains an active Episcopal church. Name plates on its pews commemorate famous worshippers from the time, including George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, John Tyler, Benjamin Harrison, and Patrick Henry. The church still uses a bell cast in 1761, which rang to celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and the signing of the Treaty of Paris in 1783, marking the end of the American Revolutionary War. It served as a storehouse and hospital during the Battle of Yorktown in 1781, and again as a hospital following the Battle of Williamsburg during the Civil War. For more detailed information about this historic church, please see the following web link:
of this Bruton Church collectible is EXCELLENT with no chips, cracks, fleabites, or other damage. It looks fantastic and has obviously been well cared for. The underside of the base has some felt furniture protector pads installed, which can easily be removed if desired. The box shows some wear and has some scratches on the top. Someone punched a small hole in the top of the styrofoam packaging to make it easier to remove. Overall, this collectible building looks fantastic and displays beautifully. It would make a fine addition to your Williamsburg village collection. Please take a close look at the many photos I've provided and judge condition for yourself. I think you'll be very pleased with this purchase.

If you collect Lang and Wise porcelain buildings, particularly those from the Williamsburg series, don't miss your opportunity to offer on this one. The Bruton Church is quite hard to find and is rarely offered for sale. My start price of only $9.99 (WITH ) is a ridiculous bargain and intended to spark interest. So offer now while the price is right and check back often. This building WILL be sold to the highest buyer!
