Large and tightly woven vintage native American Indian Papago yucca lidded basket. Weighs almost 5 lbs by itself and is very sturdy. Measures (with lid on) approximately 8\" tall and 13.5\" wide - reminds me of a hatbox. There are some damaged stitches probably due to age and/or wear (see all photos) and I\'m sure it could use a cleaning - I don\'t know the best way to do this so I will leave that up to you. Second photo is the top of the lid, third photo is the bottom of the basket, fourth photo shows the basket and the underside of the lid, the last four photos show each side of the basket. I\'ve had this for a very long time. I purchased this as a vintage item in the very early 80\'s.
