LARGE16\" Antique 1800\'s ornate Black forest cuckoo clock. High quality Beha :
$746.11

RARE: I have a TOP QUALITY antique Beautiful wall cuckoo clock with a FULL RELIEF ivy and grape vine themed carving. BLACK FOREST ORIGINAL CUCKOO CLOCK MADE BY Johann Baptiste Beha (I suspect) Ca 1875-ish.
I am not 100% sure this is a Beha and I have never researched it. Its got MANY of the characteristics of a Beha and the quality and style suggest it heavily.
LARGE 1-day DAY Weight driven 30hr wood plate movement of very good quality.
Note the beautiful matching hand carved bone hands! Amazing. Also the ornate pendulum.
Beautiful little work of art. The back door has all sorts of script on it, a lot of it I can not make out. This clock is in good running condition and needs nothing but it has been
hanging for several years and could use a good blow out for the dust and a lube.. Runs and strikes great though.
The bellows were professionally recovered in period goat skin leather and both pipes and bellow tops are original.
The cuckoo sequence sounds off twice an hour, once on the half and top of the hour calls the time.
This will make a wonderful clock for any collection.
Its 16\" tall. 12\" wide. and a 5\" dial.
Not a huge clock but surely a nice piece. Very ornate carved and solid walnut.
Its only fault it that it has a little separation in the case box, to the rear of the case.
not noticable from the front and it feels very secure. I think its just warping as it is still very solid.

I will not date this clock exactly but i make it to be about 1870 to 1880..
Beha was one of the best quality makers of his day, and his name is right up there with the others like KAMMERER, PHS, KETTERER, GHS, WEHRLE, JEAGLER, FLEIG, KLAUSMANN, And BEUERELE.

Have a close look at the craftsmanship on this clock. Its a work of art.
Its obvious that this clock is not a run-of-the mill piece.
please allow the pics to answer questions you have and feel free to ask.
