Lip Smackin\' Good 1-Piece Short Romper Outfit for Ideal Crissy Doll 1972 Vintage Product Description
Available today is a vintage clothing item from the Crissy Doll line - the 1-piece romper-style outfit known as Lip Smackin\' Good.Please note that this listing is for the 1-piece outfit only - there is *no doll or hat included* here. This outfit was produced by Ideal, I believe in 1972. The outfit does have an official Crissy tag inside!
This piece is pre-owned and has been played with; it does have wear typical of previous play. For example, the neon orange outlines of the two lower flowers on the lip design are very faded while the white belt has many areas of red and yellow discoloration and there is a small split in the seam on the lower back side of the shorts (less than half an inch long). There is a small piece of what looks like fishing line sewn through the right-hand side of the top near the armpit (photos #5-6); I do not know if this is how the outfit was attached to its original packaging or if it is something that the previous owner did. The two metal snap closures on the back of the outfit are all intact.
The outfit is sold as-is, exactly as pictured. I am not an expert in Crissy doll items, so while I have tried my best to describe & photograph the outfit it is possible that I have missed something that is important to a collector. I have not attempted to clean the outfit for fear of damaging it; I will leave any cleaning up to the new owner.
