For the first time this instrument started using hundreds of years ago, by representatives of the ethnic population of the Carpathian Mountains - Hutsuls. Sopilka is small and easy to use, in comparison with other musical instruments, Hutsul were constantly carrying her with him and was playing when they had a free time.
Sopilka became really folk musical instrument because it is not expensive and easy to learn. Those who could not buy it, do it by themselves from the branches of a tree. We offer a whistle carved from high quality wood, painted and decorated with traditional Ukrainian ornament. As in ancient times, it is made by hand, in the heart of the Carpathian Mountains, by the Hutsuls folk masters from the city of Kosiv.
I am placed in Ivano-Frankivsk region of Ukraine. The land of Carpathian mountains, where a lots of folk craftsman are living. In Ukraine, they a called Hutsuls, they produce different kinds of art goods, and one of most popular are wooden carved goods.
