For sale is a four cylinder aviation engine made by Lycoming in the 1930s.. It is a single magneto engine and has a bottom mounted carb. The motor turns by hand and is on a stand that is included in the price.I was told that it has not been run in a long time and would likely need some work. This motor is not designed to be used in small aircraft as it doesn\'t have the mandatory redundant systems like two magnetos. It was used on a Navy dirigible was used way back in the 1930s. I would think that it could be used in an air boat...or use a great conversation piece. The prop has been decomissioned. The spec plate that is not readable in the picture but says the following: Model: 0-145 B2. Engine number: 2343. ATC: 210. Rating at 0 altitude, comp ratio: 6.5. Fuel 73 octane. Max rpm: 2550 with fixed pitch propeller. Carb venturi dia: 1.1875\". Spark advance 20 degrees. Intake opens at 6 degrees BTC. Valve clearance cold: intake .015\", exhaust .015\".Buyer pays for crating and shipping by freight or picks up.
