ThisM4 bayonet is an original USGI bayonet, officially the “U.S. Bayonet-Knife,M4”, and is the correct bayonet for the M1 Carbine rifle, .30Caliber. This one was manufactured under contract by KongsbergArsenal for USGI and allied troops. Kongsberg bayonets are noted fortheir superior quality. The leather handle is tight and in good condition.The point is sharp, and the cutting edges are good. The bayonet lockworks as it should. Markings are clear and legible. Please see thephotos as they are a key part, and probably the best description, of thisbayonet. Keep in mind this is a U.S. military surplus item, so it willshow signs of wear and use.
