MADAME ALEXANDER CISSY PORTRAIT DOLL GODEY 1962
Gorgeous but needs to be restrung
Here is a lovely 20" CISSY DOLL with beautiful auburn hair from the 1960s. She needs to be restrung but other than that is in fabulous condition. Outfit is similar to the #2260 - Godey Portrait doll from 1962. ( If you can ID her better than that please write.) She is wearing a gown with a bright orange skirt with pleated ruffles, orange velvet short jacket with elbow-length sleeves trimmed with white lace, heavy tulle ruffled slip and original underpants. She has a natural straw hat with flowers, a lace veil pulled to the back and tied in a bow. She has jeweled earrings and a ring. I do not find an Alexander tag on the outfit but didn't take off the jacket. The CISSY faced doll has ALEXANDER on the back of her neck.
Her head is beautiful with hair smooth and unmussed, face paint high. Her eyelashes are present but need to be reglued. Both legs in good condition, just need to be restrung. No shoes but will include a pair of nylons that were with her which may or may not have been original.
This is only 1 listing of a large lot of exquisite MME ALEXANDER dolls and outfits recently purchased from an estate sale. I have another at sale that is very similar to this Portrait Doll. These and other dolls and outfits date from the 1950's to 1960. Don't miss your opportunity to own a piece of doll history. I am glad to combine shipping - see my other listings.
