Hi all. This sale is for a vintage doll. I think she is a baby Pinkie Madame Alexander doll from 1936. I got her at an estate sale of a woman who used to have a doll shop. She is about 19 inches long. She is composition. She has a cloth body.
I have taken several photos so you can see her condition. She has a chip area on her forehead. After I got her home I took off her bonnet and could see how the top of her head had chips. I have taken photos for you to see.
I don't know the age of her clothing. The dress is cotton and appears older. There is another cotton plain white dress under it that is not in that good of shape. Then there is an undershirt and the pink pants that are not old for sure...:)
The woman who used to own the doll shop had marked her an Alexander 1936 Pinkie composition baby. She has MME Alexander on the back of her neck.
I am hoping someone will want her that knows how to restore these dolls. I am sure she was a well loved baby at some time...:) Her one eye does not have the eyelashes it should. She does have all her fingers. I am happy to combine shipping if you win something else from me. I accept Paypal. I go to the post office about every other morning when I have listings. I do not charge handling. I start my sales low with .
To hear my father who is 91 talk about the Great Depression of the 30s I would imagine some little girl was thrilled to have such a nice doll back then.
Thanks for taking a look. If I can answer any questions I will sure try. I check my messages every night when I get home from teaching.
