AFTER SERVICING NOTES BY FRANK MUFUCH:
I have over 17 hours on this unit. As you\'ve seen it is a hand built mod and the part I made replaced the original capacitors with a far superior battery of capacitors. The original capacitors are not available for this and several other Marantz that used the dual \"two in one\" can capacitors. Power supply and transistors all good.I did not replace the power cord. Sometimes you can get into a problem with ground loops when changing the 2-wire to an IEC with chassis ground.When using this with other IEC groundeddevices you can get hum.The factory Power cord is a 16 Gauge and is in good condition.The sound is real special, very warm with true bass slam. Has very liquid midrange. The highs are accurate without harshness.Absolute black background, extremely quiet. No noiseno hum.
