MARX MERCURY ARTICULATED NYC STREAMLINER W/ORIGINAL BOX - MADE IN U.S.A. 1938-41
Louis Marx & Co. Mercury Articulated New York Central Streamliner (Steam Type Electric Train) with Original Box. Made in the U.S.A. 1938-41 in overall excellent condition. Set includes #635 Mercury 0-4-0 Steam Engine, runs perfectly in forward/reverse and is lighted, some pepperingpaint chips on nose, alittle paint loss around side screws, emblems and decals are nice, hand rails and red plastic insmoke stack are great; #971 New York Central Tender has a couple paint nicks; #657 Mail/Baggage Car has a little bubbling on roof area; #657 Chicago Passenger Car has no issues; and #658 Detroit Observation Car has no issues. All of the Mercury passenger cars have connecting pins intact and very nice wheels. Transformer works, however the insulation on the cord is cracked in several places. Also included is an automatic circuit breaker in like new condition. Original box is in great shape, has all inserts and is very nice. This is an exceptionally clean set. Please see the pictures!!
