Condition: Resin. Never used, never displayed, nochips, no defects, no crazing. Your valuable collectible is well packed,protected and in great shape. This item comes in original box with minor wear from being in aretail storeroom warehouse - still great for gift-giving!

From the box: \"When the first model T rolled off the assembly line, American life rolled off in a whole new direction. In fact, it changed the American way of life forever. Gas stations sprung up on the newly paved highways: not the sterile, impersonal self-service station we have today. In those halcyon days (when the service station attendant not only filled the tank, but washed your windshield, checked your oil and put air in your tires), each station was an architectural marvel. In addition to filling your tank, these bygone stations were also rest stops where you could enjoy a cold drink on a hot summer\'s day or a good cup of coffee to wake you up. The friendly proprietor would provide, at no extra charge, directions and a road map when it seemed that you were hopelessly lost. This was a simpler time in America,but nonetheless exciting. Just four little words, \"Let\'s take a ride,\" brought an enthusiastic \"Let\'s go!\" from the entire family. So come on, let\'s take a ride. Join the adventure of traveling along Roadside, USA!\"

As travel by automobile and truck became more prevalent, businesses began to cater to motorists\' needs both in the services they offered and the advertising they presented. Motorists passed a business a lot faster than previously, so ads became larger and simpler. This gas station painted its name in huge letters on the roof, so any passer-by can read \"MATTHEW\'S Rt. 66\" and \"LUNCHES\" at a glance. This beautifully detailed gas station has a rustic, down-home look; it may have come from any small town in America! The rolling garage door is bright green, the awning above the windows is green and white striped, and all the trim on the structure is red. A stack of tiny oil cans stands beside the garage door, and someone\'s blue scooter sits by the front doors. Little signs all over the building advertise products or services (\"ZEROLENE OIL SOLD HERE\" - \"Good Coffee\" - \"Rest Rooms\"). The color and detail are just incredible, what you would expect from a Lefton design!The piece lits up from the inside. The bulb and cord fit into the bottom of the structure, and the switch is on the cord. All of the windows are translucent and glow warmly when the light is turned on.
