EE tapes can only be used with tape recorders that have the EE SWITCH - these for reels are like new- I use this type of tape, only when I have everything I\'m going to record on them exactly right ,, in fact I do my first mixto my OTARI BIII- 2,the bios on myotari set toMaxell UD 35-180, I used to reels. Then, I record onto my Akai gx 747 or my Teac x2000r. I also use Pioneer RT 909s recorders, I absolutely love them- workhorse recorders. When I started using reel to reel recorders 21 years ago, I\'ve probably gone through 10 different high-end models, I started out using the RadioShack hand-held video/audio tape erasers- I only use these now to clean up small spots on the tape, but I used two- Teac E-2 bulk taper racers, if you look at the Akai gx 747 I have on right now, in the pictures, you can see my OTARI BIII-2 to the right of the machine him photographing. The reason I put myMaxell 35-180 EE tapes on - because I thought I would sell the two tape recorders that have the EE switch on them, I\'m not sure if I really want to sell my Teac x2000r right now, when you have equipment that you love, you really wanted to go two people that have knowledge and the love for them....
