I just had the pleasure of attending the 2014 Modern Doll Collectors Convention in Orlando, Florida. It\'s always a difficult decision to go to these events knowing that some of what you buy has to be sold or you can\'t afford to keep what you keep.The story behind this event is very sad. Those of you who are doll collectors undoubtedly know about the Goodreau Family. Paulette is an acclaimed doll artist and she and her sister Annette who were as close as 2 sisters could be ran the doll business together. They lived together, they rescued animals together and were an amazing testimony of a close family relationship.It was a tragic year for the family. Their mom who always came to the events with them and was an absolute joy passed away last November. Some of their pets who had grown to old age passed away as well. But probably the saddest of all was Annette who passed away entirely too young in February from a rare form of cancer.Connie Lowe who created these dolls was like another sister to them. The Goodreau family took her under their wings and helped her become the acclaimed doll artist that she now is. The program included with this doll shows a picture of the three of them- Annette, Paulette and Connie - together.Connie wanted to do something special for the family, for Paulette. She decided to dedicate this meal event and doll to Annette Goodreau. Paulette and Mary Goodreau both attended (Mary is on the MDCC board) and it was really a lovely tribute.The event doll is the first that Connie has done of a real person. The event doll was Annette- I have her in another listing.This listing is for the centerpiece - Paulette. The two together are the Magic of Sisters that this event was titled.The Paulette doll is a tall slender doll with a red dress (not as brown as brick red but not as blue as wine red!) with a blue with white polka dot tie and white/ cream sleeves and collar. She has white stockings and black ballet shoes.. I\'m sure this was based on a photo of Annette as was another special charity sale doll set done on the family on the final night of the convention.This doll is signed. She has inset lashes and glass eyes.Connie used the same certificate of authenticity for the event doll as the one for the centerpiece but the Annette doll cert is signed by Connie only. The Paulette cert is signed by Connie and Paulette.There were only 10 of these made and were all sold at the event. The centerpiece doll also came with a gift bag that included a ballet dress, white stockings that didn\'t get in the picture, scarf and a tote bag with the Annette doll picture on it as well as Ellen Tracy note pad and I included the two pens that were our table favors. The ballet dress was actually based on a dress that Annette wore in a recital. So if you get the Annette doll as well, this is modeled after the dress she wore.This doll has never been displayed. She will come to you in new condition with pillow like wrapping, certificate and gift bag. check out my store for other great fashion and collectibles and please save me in your favorite sellers list if you like what you see!

I DO NOT MAKE ANY MONEY ON SHIPPING. I try to hit the charge exactly but if I make an error…..I can’t tell you how many of my customers have received partial shipping refunds from me or how many times I pay more for shipping than you will. Also note that sellers pay Paypal fees on all money received including shipping, so actually behind the scenes I pay more no matter how it turns out not even factoring in shipping supplies. So when you are leaving response, please remember this!

I ship collectibles carefully. If you don\'t care what condition a box arrives, tell me and I\'ll try to reduce the shipping costs. I actually had one buyer complain because I packed too well. Sometimes you can\'t win!

Returns:

1. Please read my return policy carefully which is located a few lines down from the offerding price of the listing. Please click on details as some items have different return policies as others and the details are VERY IMPORTANT including re-stocking fees and timeline for the return.

2. I really spend a lot of time on my listings. Most listings have several pictures and as much detail as I can possibly give in the description. I work very hard to disclose everything there is to disclose and to give the best customer service possible. Due to new policies I have to start taking returns or I pretty much lose my selling status and benefits. I would very much appreciate your knowing for sure that you want an item before you purchase it if at all possible. This is how I pay my bills so your consideration would be appreciated.

Shipping Time: I ship next business day always unless I am on vacation in which case you will know that! Due to new policy, if my store has a vacation message on it and you purchase something and pay immediately, I will refund your money and ask you to please not pay me until I get home and can ship to you. It will not be taken against you as a buyer but if I don’t ship next day from payment, it WILL be taken against me as a seller.

If you purchase and pay on a Friday, the package will be mailed Monday, the next business day unless of course it is a Post Office holiday that Monday. But if you pay on Thursday, it mails Friday and so on. I do try to get to the post office anyway on Saturdays but sometimes that is not possible.

International Shipping: I only ship Priority Mail International or better due to the fact that the post office does not allow us to add insurance onto First Class shipping. I want to make sure you get your package. Also, for International, you may have to pay a customs tax. Please know the rules in your country when you purchase. This is not something that a seller can control.

EVERYTHING IN THE PHOTOS IS INCLUDED IN THIS sale BUT THE ORIGINAL PROGRAM IS NOT IN THE PHOTOS AND IS NOT INCLUDED.
