This is a fabulous paper mache antique china head doll on a metal and tin clockwork wind up tricycle probably made by the George Brown toy company in the early 1870\'s!! It measures 9 1/2\" tall, 11\" long, and 5\" wide.The outfit is all original and detailed with hand embroidered design. The outer layer has some shredding of the silk, but the cotton layer underneath is intact. Her hands and feet are made of brass metal and are fastened to the handlebars and petals. Her face paint and makeup is in excellent condition with a few flecks of paint missing from the hair, mostly in the back. There is quite a bit of paint loss to the tin cover over the clockworks, but some of the gold tole painting is still noticeable. When you wind it up, she petals the tricycle on her own. A very neat toy for that special little girl in its day, and a super item for the antique toy or doll collector today!! The wind up key is included with her and she works perfectly! She petals in one direction then turns and petals in the other direction! An amazing toy from the 1800\'s!!
