I am the 3rd owner of this watch. My best friends dad bought this brand new while he worked as a NYPD cop back in the late 40s. It was never worn. My best friend gave it to me in 1996. I used to wind it and it worked perfectly. I haven\'t wound it in over 2 years, so probably needs a cleaning but I know this watch is in perfect order other than I\'m afraid to wind it these days. It has the original red leather band, still the way it has always been in box. Says US TIME on back
