Background of LeCoultre:


Founded by Antoine LeCoultre in 1833, the LeCoultreManufacture started as a small workshop with 4 employees. Inventor of theMillionmeter and the crown winding system which eliminated the need for a keyto wind a watch, Antoine LeCoultre quickly has established his name in History.By 1867, LeCoultre became the first manufacture in the Joux Valley and adriving force in the watchmaking world which 20 years later employed over 500workers. In 1903, Jacques-David LeCoultre, Antoine’s grandson, met Edmond Jaeger,which was the start of a long friendship and the Jaeger-LeCoultre Brand in1937.

For your consideration is a mint-condition Black Enamel/Brass LeCoultre Miniature Travel Alarm Clock with a2 Day Movement which fully runs its course. The black lacquer and brass finish of this clock that was manufactured in 1968, ismint for its age. It was serviced 2 years ago and runs very well with all functions such as the alarm, winding keys, hingesand adjustments to be in fine working condition. There areno dents, minimal markings and /or imperfectionsto the housing. Thecrystalappears to be perfect shape and there isonly the slightest of wear to certain areas of the clear lacquer coating of the brass. Please note the condition descriptionand photos are also part of the overall description.

Dial: White enamel-like face with black roman numeral hour-markers, minutes inner ringwith luminous dots.

Hands: Victorian hour and minute hands along with alarm hand marker.
