This sale is for an antique animated cast iron cap gun corresponding to AN22 (MONKEY AND COCONUT) in Logan & Best\'sCast Iron Toy Guns and Capshooters. According to L&B, it was made in 1890 by Stevens, and is 4 1/4\" long. It is in beautiful condition, but with some rust in the crevices. The action does not always remain cocked in the charged position as it is supposed to, but it can be cajoled into doing so. Truly a fascinating old piece from a time gone by.
