Mountain Pride Tomato~35+ small plant plugs~seedlings
The first of the “mountain” series developed at North Carolina State University became a classic in mountain regions of the South for its large, deep red, flat-round fruit that resists cracking. The strong, determinate vines known for uniform production yield firm fruit well suited to home growing and local fresh markets.
Resistant to verticillium wilt (V) and fusarium wilt races 1 and 2 (FF).

This sale is for small plugs (baby plants). Plugs are tiny plants which are too small to plant directly into the garden. See second photo for size.
These are seedlings that need to be transplanted into 2 or 3 inch nursery pots or 4-packs to grow on until big enough to plant outside or into a larger pot.
This is a very economical way to purchase plants if you have a backyard greenhouse, or small retail greenhouse, are a market grower, or just love to grow your own plants for the flower beds or garden. It eliminates the frustration that sometimes comes with seed-starting. These plugs are professionally started by friends of ours and they do not use growth inhibitor; so you will find that these plugs grow extremely well and quick. We have been using their plugs in our own cut flower business for years and love them, we know you will too.

A new batch of plants is listed on each week until the end of April. Listings start Monday and Wednesday with all ending on Saturday each week. Your purchase will be shipped on the Monday or Tuesday following the end of the sale so they get to your house by end of week and do not sit in the post office over the weekend (they cannot survive that). Please be prepared to pay for your plants by Sunday or Monday evening if you are the winner. We do not have room to hold your plants until a week later plus they may be overgrown by then, they outgrow their little spaces quickly.
*If it is cold where you live, and there is a possibility that you will not be home when mail is delivered, we recommend that you ask the post office to hold your packages for you to pick up until these baby plants arrive, as they will quickly freeze if left outside.*
