WOW! Here\'s something you don\'t often see for sale, a super nice Becker Underwood MULCH COLORIZER.
HISTORY:We purchased this unit about ten years ago, second hand, for a business that we later decided not to launch so this colorizer is in GREAT shape! At that time it was the nicest used machine we could find and we looked at a dozen different ones before buying this one. It has just been sitting in our yard, unused, covered with a tarp most of its life.
MONEY-MAKER!Colored mulch comes in many different colors and varies widely in price, in different parts of the country, so call around in your area to see how much they get for a bag, a yard, a pickup load or semi-trailer and you will be shocked! Call a couple of local nurseries and ask if they\'d be interested in buying bulk colored mulch. A few pennies worth of dye can increase your tree-waste mulch into $1000 per trailer load, or more. *If you need a good grinder I have one listed on , as well.
OUTPUT:Right before we purchased it we saw it in operation. With one pump it will produce about 140-150 yards per hour but with two pumps it will produce more like 225-250 yards per hour. It ran smooth, quiet and produced beautiful mulch that was uniformly colored throughout faster than you could load it in a truck.
PUMPS:We purchased two brand new colorant pumps for this unit at a cost exceeding $5200. but never hooked them up. They are both Lowara model LC stainless steel, high-pressure, closed coupled, centrifugal pumps. 230/460v 3-ph FLA 10.4a / 6.0a 3.3/4.0hp 3450rpm with 5-3/16\" impellers.
SPECS:The overall size of this monster is 20\' 6\" long x 12\' 0\" tall x 6\' 0\" deep.The hopper, measured at the very top is 7\' 0\" deep x 14\' 0\" long and stands 5\' 9\" tall.The hopper measured at the bottom is 7\' 6\" wide x 3\' 6\" deep.Height to load into lowest point of the hopper is 9\' 8\" tall.There is 31\" of clearence underneath the mixing barrel to the ground. CONTROL BOX:We removed the electrical control box and stored it indoors just to prevent any rust or damage. It still looks almost new condition.
LIQUID TANKS:Included are two giant poly tanks. One for water and one for concentrated liquid dye.
INSTALLATION:Besides hooking up the electrical, you will need to install the new colorant hoses and filters (included) prior to using this machine.
CONVEYOR:This unit comes with a 24\' long 115v 1-ph conveyor. Its a little rougher than the colorizer but works just fine. *I now wish I\'d bought a 30\'+ long conveyor, though.
SHIPPING:I believe all of this will easily fit on a 45\' long flatbed semi trailer. Weight will be just under 20,000 lbs.Ships from Wichita KS 67214
