New Version: Now accepts both negative and positive detector inputs

This Multi-PurposeMulti-Channel Analyzer (MP-MCA) device is designed to be small and low costcompared to other systems available on the market today. We, at SmartRad, are manufacturing this product as well as other associated products here in USA. The device is used for gamma-rays spectroscopy using primarily for NaIdetectors although you can use it for Ge detectors as well.

This is the USB interfaceversion of our product. The product specificationsinclude:

· Accepts both negative and positive detector inputs ( 0 to -3.3V or 0 to +3.3V)

·USB powered MCA with an internal backup for settings.

· Input with a variable, programmable attenuation of up to x10 included

· Amplifier with a variable,programmable gain of up to x100 is included

· Both Internal amplifiers can bebypassed if using an external amplifier is desired (example: when using a Gedetector). In this mode, the output of the external amplifier can be connected to the \"AMP INPUT\". The input must be between 0 to +3.3V

· Gamma-ray energy range of 50 to3000 keV.

·ADC resolutions of1024, 2048, and 4096 suitable for both low-resolution (NaI detectors) as wellas high-resolution(Si and Ge detectors)spectroscopy.

· Easy to use Graphic User Interface (GUI) data acquisitionsoftware that controls MCA functions through a laptop ordesktop is provided.

·Accurate dead-timecorrection.

·Dead time percent andcount rate display of data being acquired.

·Spectra can be savedin AMETEC-ORTEC/IAEA or Text ASCII formats, allowing analysis utilizingexisting software (not provided).

· Optional wireless interface is available that can be used to control and communicate with the MCA. A network of multiple MCAs can be controlled from a single desktop or laptop. The latter is being developed and is will be also available soon.
