This set is awesome! After tons of research into the Aerogardens, I decided on this model. You can grow taller plants, as this model's light unit will raise twice as high as the original Aerogarden. Also, This takes 3 or the grow lamps for 7 pods. Tons of light, AND, the lights are cheaper to replace. You can get a set of 3 of them on the Aerogarden site for $19.99 plus shipping. (versus $14.95 for only 2 for the original). You can also customize the settings on this model. I have never tried to do so, but, it's possible. I saw that as a definite plus.

The unit itself is attractive, being black and stainless. In my first cover photo, it shows the Aerogarden with a lush garden...this is the exact garden that you will grow the first time, with the included pods. This also includes the Master Gardener kit, which will allow you to plant your own favorite seeds. With this kit, you'll never have to buy the expensive 'seed kits' again! I'll tell you what I use as a filler for the reusable plastic pods. (growing medium)
