This is the best car camping tent ever! I have had one of these for 5 years now, actually 3 of them, because I like them so much. Sold one after I realized I did not need three, now selling the second. This is military issue, suitable for very extended camping. These cost the government $3800 each. The design is the same high quality materials that The North Face is known for, but the tent is sewn from a bit heavier materials. Both rainflys completely block light from passing through, meaning that when the sun starts shining on the tent at 4 in the morning, you do not necessarily have to wake up, and, if you feel like taking a nap mid day, you can. I like the white fly the best for the Summer months, as it helps keep the tent cool, MUCH cooler than standard tents, enough that you will notice the difference immediately. The inside of the tent is large enough to fit a Queen size mattress, with room for bags, packs, whatever. It will sleep three sleeping bags for extended trips, such as for hunting camp. In the wind and the rain, this tent also stands out. If properly guyed out, it will withstand 85 mph winds. I have seen 50 mph winds on a few occasions, with no problems.
This listing is for one tent body, one Woodland camo rainfly, one Arctic White rainfly, one set of tent poles, a few spare tent pole segments, and a set of tent stakes., a stuff sack for the poles, and also for one of the rainflys.
The tent body is in excellent shape.
The tent is not new, as all of the Military North face tents have been used before becoming surplus. The tent body is in excellent shape. A few very minor flaws, nothing significant. Both rain flys have seen some wear. The white fly has some small areas where it would probably leak water in a hard rainstorm, and the cloth feels a bit worn, but it is still strong, mostly waterproof, and works excellent. I have spent days in the rain in one of these tents, they are so big and well designed that you will probably live through whatever weather happens. Probably very comfortably. The Green fly looks like it is waterproof, the fabric is in good condition, the seams have been sealed, in a Marines sort of way, not winning any beauty contests but effective. The tent pole sleeves on the camo fly have a few tears, maybe 5 or so, like shown in the photos. With some care in setting up, this is not a problem. They can be repaired if you like. The tears in the pole sleeves do not affect the waterproofness of the fly at all.
All parts for these tents come up on fairly regularly. If you wanted a new fly, you can find one.
The poles are all in good shape, straight.
These tents are getting harder to find with the extended wars that are going on.
This tent probably weighs 15 lbs, so it is not really a backpacking tent. It is the best festival/ car camping tent you could ever imagine.

This has been in the house for a few days now. I notice that the camo fly has a musty tent odor. It has been rolled up for almost the entire time I have owned this tent, I always use the white fly, as the tent stays cooler. It may be that a washing will help, as well as airing it out. SO.... The tent poles are excellent, tent body is excellent, White fly is very functional, but worn, the camo fly is in okay shape, good cloth, 5 or so small tears in the sleeve that do not go into the main fly, and it has an odor.
Still a nice tent. You will be able to find a better fly here on for between $50-$150 if you want. offer accordingly. In my opinion, with the white fly only, you will get a lot more service from this tent, It is good to go, and will provide excellent shelter for a long time.
